CATastrophic Alert : We have been hacked

Attention all HostBluff Customers,

Our network security team has reported that we have been hacked. All images on our homepage (and all of our customers websites) have been replaced with cats. The attacker has also modified our plans and has also taken control of the live chat system. We are working to resolve but may need to power on customers servers to remove all of the cat images.

We are still looking for the person responsible.

So far we can confirm;

  • All customer credit cards were stolen from our plain text file at https://hostbluff.com/credit_cards.txt. We have removed this for now
  • All customer websites have photos replaced with CATS including all wedding photos
  • All plans have been changed

We are still trying to find Derrick to advise him of this but he is still missing. We will update this blog post with more details
